The Panels Group - 18th May 2011

This evening we had the Panels Group Meeting of Winchester Photographic Society with 17 people attending, 11 of them ready to present their challenge panel.  The topic was "At the Last Minute".  I am always amazed at how  the same theme can be interpreted in so many ways.  Some, like myself, took the title literally and produced a panel at the last minute (the day before in my case!)  There were two who had used clocks to portray time, one involving an egg timer and the other an exploding clock;  Messing up the Planet (only a matter of time before we destroy it all ....) - pictures of the rubbish we leave lying around; pictures taken on the 59th minute of every hour since 1st January; a set of rust pictures taken "at the last minute" just before the coach was about to leave;  a set of pictures at Sunbury Antiques Market;  a set of pictures used to create a picture set in time; and my own was of two trees which I photograph at different times of the year.

  1. Ooooh, I do love this set. As you know, anything that shows time and seasons unfolding is a pleasure for me. But how beautifully you capture the changing moods of the trees, and I love the way you use different angles to make them appear to separate and come close - even to kiss. This is fantastic photography! I have enjoyed catching up with your blog.

  2. Anne says: Thank you for all your lovely comments. I will continue visiting the field as it has been planted with wheat this year and will look quite different as the year goes on.
(I have had trouble making comments on my own blog but have at last found a way to do it!)
